Styrt, Specialists in Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry, we are privileged to have the expertise of our pediatric dentists, Dr. Styrt, Dr. Chawla and Dr. Hayes – all of whom have chosen to use their specialist dental knowledge for the benefit of our younger patients. Dr. Kristy L. Hayes
DMD
Dr. Kristy Hayes is thrilled to join Dr. Styrt and his incredible team! Dr. Hayes completed her dental school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and her post-doctoral specialty in Pediatric Dentistry at Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Hayes is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has extensive experience treating patients with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Hayes is committed to providing the highest quality dental care to your child in a fun and positive environment. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Hayes realized her passion for working with children as a dance teacher and summer camp counselor teaching dramatic arts and sailing. Dr. Hayes proudly served service members and military families first as a General Dentist and then as a Pediatric Dentist in the United States Army for nine years before moving to her dream city of San Diego. Dr. Hayes’ favorite thing about being a Pediatric Dentist is helping kids learn the skills they need to have a healthy smile for life.
When she’s not at work, you can find Dr. Hayes spending time with her husband, Jim and her two daughters Charlotte and Violet, going to the beach or exploring San Diego!
Dr. Olga Alvarado

Dr. Olga Alvarado is delighted to be joining Dr. Styrt and his wonderful team! Dr. Alvarado graduated from New York University at the age of 19. She then went on to graduate from The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2010. Soon after, she completed her Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Jacobi Hospital in New York, where she specialized in training for sedation dentistry and working with special needs patients.
Dr. Alvarado is a Board-certified Pediatric Dentist. she is very passionate about prevention and oral health education for you and your children Her goal is that every patient love going to the dentist and is set up for a future full of joyful visits!
Originally from New York, Dr. Alvarado used to find herself dreaming of warm, sunny winters. She made those dreams become a reality when she and her husband moved to California in 2015. When Dr. Alvarado is not in the office, you can find her walking around Mission Bay with her twins, Jacob and Julianna, in their double stroller. She also loves paddle boarding, barre classes, and visiting farmers' markets on weekends.
